As I pull into that site, he then starts complaining about the number of vehicles I have - which I said weren't staying - and then finishes his complaints with "You know what, JUST LEAVE. You aren't welcome here. Get out."
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean. All spots are paved with full hook up. Pool was clean. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly as well as the women who worked in the office. I highly recommend this campground if you ever need to stay in the Valdosta, Ga area. The only thing they do not have (I recommend they get) is a playground for the children. Other then that we have no complaints.
As you wish buddy. The park across the street was fully booked, this place was 80% empty at exactly the same time. This says a LOT. Save your energy and your money, stay in a Wal Mart - it will be more welcoming.
There is (apparently) a "giant" sign that says nobody is to drive in without registration first, yet three different adults saw only a night registration sign. Previous registration was of a "drive in and find a place, then go register with that site number" which was what it appeared to still be.
Stayed here last year (during Hurricane Matthew evacuation) when they were owned by Camping World nearby. Thought that the park would be similar when I returned this year for another hurricane... And the physical place is still the same, but the management is now VERY different.
I would not recommend this campground to anyone. The manager is very rude. His name is Jim. He's setting himself up for failure.
"Willie Nelson" looking old geezer comes running over in the middle of the park (while still being on the phone) waving his arms and yelling "What the hell are you doing?" as I am slowly proceeding through to find an acceptable site. After expressing confusion about his reaction and discussing selection of a site, (with a heavy tone of "I don't really want you here" from the very first words from the old geezer) he states that I have to pre-register because this (80% EMPTY) park "could be all reserved for other people!" and then grumpily suggests a site near to where I was standing.
Avoid this place. You will regret coming here.
Nice clean easy in and out and best price around
